We have been working on different instructional models for this coming fall and the attached survey will help us narrow our focus. I am planning on a full return to school, which starts on August 20, 2020. (Full Calendar will be finalized in the next few days) However, we know that we have to be ready for multiple models of instruction up to and including full online instruction, depending on how things unfold in Lansing and with the virus itself. Today, Governor Whitmer issued Executive Order 2020-35 which closes school facilities for the remainder of this school year unless the Governor indicates it is safe to open and/or restrictions are lifted. (Please click the link to read the full letter)

I am writing to everyone to discuss some things that have been weighing heavily on my heart these last few days as certain realities have begun to settle in and become real. It is expected that tomorrow Governor Whitmer will issue an Executive Order prohibiting schools from reopening for regular classes through the end of the academic year. Governor Gretchen Whitmer announced that in order to slow the spread of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Michigan, she is ordering the closure of all K-12 school buildings, public, private, and boarding, to students starting Monday, March 16
